No, it's not about symbols. -dbg uses a debug configuration, i.e.
provides more information about the state of the calculation. In
principle it could be used to help better design applications using
petsc. It's possible that no one uses these -dbg packages.
I'll remove the dh_strip override so the main (production) build gets
its own symbols package, rather than treating the debug build as its
symbols package.
